Is there an Approval by German Boiler Code required?
No. There is no Approval by German Boiler Code like for a car provided for bikes. We fulfill regulations of the StVZO and all norms, which are applied for such a product. In our case it is the matter of the DIN (German industrial Standard) norm 79100. This is confirmed by the CE-sign

Why do I need this?
For what do you need fun and communication? The bike can be employed usefully and lucratively employment areas.

Will the ConferencBike last?
The ConferenceBike is developed for commercial use. It requires very little maintenance and is made very robustly in order to endure the extreme stress on the material from daily rentals.

Are you allowed to ride this bike on public roads?
According to the opinion of bicycle law expert N. Huhn, who also advises the ADFC in questions of law, he confirms that the ConferenceBike is a bicycle.
It can go on cycle path.
By the way, because of its width, it does not have to go on the cycle path.
In Germany, human powered vehicles do not need any special permission.
Permitted measures are regulated by the general traffic regulations.
Bikes may not be higher than 4 m, not wider than 2.50 m and not longer than 12 m ;-)
However, we have to fulfill all requirements that a bike has to: light, two independent brake systems and reflectors. And a bell, of course!


Patents: Protection of patented designs is applied for new technical developments.
"ConferenceBike" is a protected trademark in many countries.

What about the insurance when it is rented?
The cyclist is responsible when it is privately leased. If something should happen that would be a case for private third party liability insurance.
When the ConferenceBike is commercially used, it is covered by a motor vehicle third party liability insurance.
